Reasons Why People Smoke Cigarettes

Posted on August 1, 2010 by Andra

For people who are classed as non-smokers it is quite difficult to fully comprehend why other people decide to smoke cigarettes. Not only do most of them find it hard to understand, they even go as far as thinking how stupid it is that these smokers would choose to waste their hard earned money and damage their health in this way. In this article I am going to attempt to educate these non-smokers into why other people smoke, however it might be worth smokers taking a read as well as it might actually help you to quit. I am not sure why but I had the impression that one would look cool if you had a cigarette in your hand. This impression possibly came about from watching rock and movie stars at their celebrity parties with a fag in their mouths. Looking back I must say that I was rather stupid and nieve. At this party I was offered a cigarette and was quite happy to have a try etc. I expected a huge buzz from smoking the...

Even if you may never get back that sleeping-in part, and staying late at your friends birthday party, new opportunities are now revealed and you can explore them with your new family members; your kids. Time Recording - Is It Worth The Effort?

Posted on February 16, 2010 by Leota

It has been said that the process of recording time, if not managed properly, can be worse than not having any recording system at all - like the old adage garbage in, garbage out. Some firms have come to the conclusion that it is not worth the effort. Opportunity Cost Some argue that the time captured through having a Time Recording system readily available doesn t always compensate the opportunity cost of recording it. Certainly, It is relatively easy to quantify the time taken to capture and process time worked. The cost of someone on a hourly charge-out rate of say 50.00 spending 15 minutes every day inputting their time will be in the region of 3,000 per annum; multiply this up by 20 staff and that is 60,000 in lost time. Conversely, attempts to quantify those elements of time worked and not charged are extremely subjective. or so the saying goes. So, by not recording your time you are actually saving money!. Moreover, so the argument goes, it is pointless to record work undertaken on a fixed fee basis because nothing else...
